These are some typical war-themed logos. A similarity which shows itself pretty quickly is that they are all base on badges and ranks within the army. They are also all metal - based to give them a gritty feel. I want to look further into 1940s publication styles and logos/images from the time as well as propaganda and more images from the Ministry of Information.

The use of colour in this image has a real war-time feel to it, the pinky hues in the sky and the bold turquoise blues included in the ocean.
